Chayan Asli
CEO
Founder and CEO at Vestun, Chayan has a standing track record in managing long/short investment strategies both as a quant and discretionary trader. Prior to founding Vestun, he primarily managed his own capital both independently and as a proprietary trader with a particular focus on mid-frequency quantamental approaches. Chayan studied a master's degree in Finance and banking at the university of Neuchâtel and at the Institute of Financial Services Zug, Switzerland.
Stephen Varey
Chief scientist & CTO
Stephen Varey brings over 25 years of experience in artificial intelligence with developing intelligent trading systems and market risk engines for large institutions including JP Morgan, HSBC, UBS, and Jabre Capital. During his career, he led various large scale R&D initiatives in defense, aerospace, and financial services with investment banks and hedge funds. His work has been recognized by the 2019 AI Breakthrough Award. He Graduated in computer science, and served as a lecturer at Thames valley University.
Pavel Markiv
Research & Technology
Pavel is the Head of Technology and Research at Vestun. Before joining Vestun, Pavel was supervising the technology platform of the investment banking desk at Otkritie Ltd. Prior to that, Pavel was with OSTC Ltd and Atto Technologies Group where he was responsible for implementing low-frequency systematic trading strategies across serveral asset class. He holds an M.S degree in applied science from the National university of Kiev.
Korina Rush, CIA
Compliance & Risk
With over 15 years of experience in global financial services industry, Korina is a Senior Audit, Risk and Compliance Executive with a particular focus in wealth and asset management. Before joining Vestun, she served as Internal Audit Director at Credit Suisse AG for external asset manager, the Head of Compliance at Swiss Post Solutions, and as Internal Audit Manager at Man Group Ltd. She is a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) from the Institute of Internal Audit, and holds an M.S in Banking and Economics from Vilnius University.
Robert Cristobal
Business Development & Investor Relations
Robert has 15 years of experience in financial services in both New York and Zurich. Prior to joining Vestun, Robert served as a manager at Credit Suisse and KPMG where he designed, implemented, and audited compliance processes and infrastructure controls for global banks, asset managers and hedge funds. His experience in asset management includes managing the operations of the entire fund lifecycle. He holds a Master degree in Global Banking from Regent’s University in the UK.
Serge Birri
Quantitative Risk & Research
Serge brings more than 10 years of experience in the financial services industry. Before joining Vestun, he worked as a Business Analyst in the operational risk team at Clariden Leu and as a Requirements Engineer at Credit Suisse AG. Prior to that, he was a Financial Engineer at the structured products execution desk within Picard Angst. Serge holds an MSc in Quantitative Finance from ETHZ/UZH and an MSc in Computational Science from ETH Zurich.
